We now have new headquarters located in Arlington, Texas and have an exciting opportunity for a Web Sales Engineer Assistant to join our International team. (and you can live anywhere in the world!).
Qualifications:
We are looking for an exceptional Web Sales Engineer Assistant who will act as an assistant to the Web Sales Engineer for web projects at Thrive. This person will be responsible for assisting with the scope and quoting of web development projects. This includes understanding the full scope of the project, translating the full scope of the project into a quote, and making sure the Client understands what we will be delivering them. Once a full scope is determined and a proposal is signed, you will need to have the ability to relay that information to the delivery team, which includes a Project Manager, Designer, and Developer.
Responsibilities:
Craft a Complete Scope of Work: When meeting with the Client, the Web Sales Engineer Assistant will need to walk the Client through the entire scope of the project and advise on what will make the end product successful. This sometimes includes asking 2nd, 3rd, and 4th level questions related to the Client’s goals for the project.
Craft Custom Strategies: In addition to the scope of work, the Web Sales Engineer Assistant will be required to assist in the Handoff Meeting by providing input to the delivery team on possible solutions to potential issues, providing risk factors, and helping finalize a plan for the project.
Weekly Meetings with Web Sales Engineer, Web Team Director & Digital Marketing Engineer: Each week, you will meet with the Web Sales Engineer, Web Team Director & Digital Marketing Engineer to discuss upcoming projects, quote assist, and ways to improve the quoting process.
Document, Organize and Improve: The Web Sales Engineer Assistant will be required to keep detailed notes on all Clients they are asked to scope and quote. Since some clients can take months to sign a proposal, it’s vital to organize your notes and can easily get a full understanding of a project, once a proposal is signed.
Thrive Team Collaboration: Ongoing communication with Web Team and Thrive management on project development, timelines, and results to ensure when new projects can start in the event the Web Team is at or over capacity.
- Analyze the customers’ functional and technical website requirements in order to design technical solution
- Research Plugins Research plugins and their features
- Estimate time and cost of web development services
- Work closely with the sales team in the creation of proposals that present compelling technical solutions that adjust to the customers’ needs and requirements
- Work together with the Web Project delivery team in the delivery of web site projects
- Must have very strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Able to keep excellent notes for each task/project
- May be required to communicate or meet directly with clients (video conferencing)
- Fast & reliable Internet connection and computer (PC or Mac)
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency using WordPress and Shopify
- Experience with popular plugins, themes and frameworks, including:
- WooCommerce and popular add-ons
- Easy Digital Downloads
- Gravity Forms and various add-ons, integrations
- Advanced Custom Fields configurations
- Multisite setups
- Genesis Framework
- Beaver Builder and other popular page builders
- Gutenberg BlocksProficiency
- Strong understanding of front-end and back-end website development
- Understanding of hosting servers and resource requirements
- Familiarity with API integration
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP and jQuery
- Experience using debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome Inspector
- Excellent documentation skills with keen attention to detail
- Detail-oriented, with good time management, and ability to triage issues
- Bonus Experiences:
- Experience planning and delivering a WordPress site is a plus.
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 AA Compliance a major plus, ADA Experience preferred
- Graphic Design abilities a major plus but not required
- Involved in the WordPress community
- Experience using a project management platform (we use https://www.teamwork.com/)
